The idea behind the Razor No. 7 tapered support was to make assembly and disassembly of the razor as simple as possible, while ensuring that there is no play once the razor is assembled. This subtle but effective tapered shape achieves this goal with precision. This design choice originates from my background in mold making. The use of tapered centering is very common in this field, as it offers both ease of assembly and optimum stability.
