Terms of sale

1. Preamble

These terms and conditions of sale ("Terms") govern sales concluded on atelierdurdan.com between Augustin Durdan, sole trader ("the Atelier", "We"), and any person making a purchase ("the Customer"). Every order implies full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms.

2. Products

The products offered are safety razors and accessories machined by hand in our workshop. The photographs and descriptions are as accurate as possible; minor variations inherent in artisanal manufacture cannot give rise to any liability on our part.

3. Ordering

The sale is concluded once the order has been confirmed and payment received. Most of our razors are made to order, in the configuration chosen by the Customer (model, gap, material, finish).

4. Prices

Prices are shown in euros, inclusive of all taxes. We apply a single worldwide pricing policy with DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) delivery: the price paid is final, the Atelier bearing VAT as well as any import duties and taxes. No additional charge will be requested from the Customer on receipt. Prices may change, but every order is invoiced at the price in force when it is validated.

5. Payment

Payment is due immediately on ordering, including for made-to-order products. It is made by bank card and associated means through our provider Shopify Payments. Payment data is encrypted and does not pass through our servers.

6. Manufacture and delivery

As our razors are made to order, the lead time is 3 to 9 weeks depending on the workshop's workload and the configuration; items in stock are dispatched more quickly. This lead time is in addition to the shipping time. Shipping costs: 6 € (France), 15 € (EU), 17 € (Switzerland/United Kingdom), 45 € (international), 50 € (rest of the world); free shipping from 250 € incl. tax. We ship worldwide, subject to our carriers' restrictions and the geopolitical situation, certain destinations possibly being temporarily unavailable. In accordance with Article L.216-4 of the French Consumer Code, the transfer of risk to the Customer takes place on physical receipt of the product.

7. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article L.221-28, 3° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for razors made to order in a configuration chosen by the Customer (goods made to the Customer's specifications or clearly personalised).

For non-personalised items in stock (blades, standard accessories), the Customer has a period of fourteen (14) days from receipt to exercise the right of withdrawal, by means of the model form or any unambiguous statement sent to contact@atelierdurdan.com. Return costs remain at the Customer's expense. The refund is made within fourteen (14) days following receipt of the product returned in new and complete condition.

8. Legal guarantees

Independently of any commercial warranty, the Customer benefits from the legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code), lasting two (2) years from delivery, as well as the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code).

9. "Quality of manufacture" commercial warranty

In addition to the legal guarantees, the Atelier warrants its products against any proven manufacturing defect. Where a defect is established and validated by the Atelier (supported by photographs), the parts concerned are replaced and the return costs borne by the Atelier. Excluded are: damage resulting from a drop, an impact, normal wear or improper care, as well as consumables (blades).

10. Personal data

The processing of the Customer's personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the Customer may make free use of consumer mediation (see legal notice) before taking any legal action. Failing an amicable resolution, the French courts shall have jurisdiction.
