The build quality is simply outstanding. The machining, finish, and stability are exactly what I hoped for from Atelier Durdan. More than just a stand, it completes the Numéro 7 and enhances the overall ownership experience.

Exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. The 1.5mm plate delivers an outstanding balance of efficiency, smoothness, and comfort, making every shave a pleasure. After extensive use, Numéro 7 has become my GOAT razor and one of the finest examples of modern razor design.

The Titanium Horizon is a brilliant design. Craftsmanship on my machine finished Ti variant is exceptional. The versatility of this razor when coupled with the many differing AC blades is excellent. I find that the large head is not a problem even with the under the nose area where I feared it might be an issue. This one could be a one razor solution to almost any shaving needs.

The La Faulx completely changed my opinion about artist club razors. I purchased it with the medium plate and it's so smooth and efficient I can get away with only 2 passes. It's now my number one choice every time I shave.

Have the stainless steel No.7 with the .5, .7 and .9 plates. Love it, but ordered the titanium No.7 with the .5, .7 and .9 plates. That really notched it up way higher. Favorite plate is the .9. That No.7 is the best looking razor in my den. Already had the stainless steel Le Maurice and now waiting on my titanium one. Also have the La Faulx with + plate and waiting for a ++ plate. Debating also getting it in titanium. Obviously a big fan of Augustin and Chloé’s work.

I have used the Horizon Artist Club Razor for about 6 times with the same blade - in this case a Schick AC Blade. I have tried it on settings of 1, 2 and 3 - each setting for two shaves. Settings of 1 and 2 are extremely mild and I found that the setting of 3 seems to be the one that works for me - I'll try setting 4 just to check it out but if you like mild shaves (which I do), it appears that settings of 3 and below will work for you.
On the 3 setting, I did not have to do much buffing and blade feel was just about non-existent. It was the most efficient setting to use. While the Horizon head is large, it is also relatively flat. Therefore I found it easier to get into tight spaces, under my nose, with ease - so don't let the larger head dissuade you from using this AC razor.
I also have the La Faulx (classic head), the Blackland Vector (Lite SB) and the Tatara Amakuni and this razor is on par with the LaFaulx (on setting 3) and the Amakuni in giving you a very smooth and close shave without any nicks or cuts. I would rank the Horizon, the La Faulx and the Tatara Amakuni at the top with the Blackland Vector a close second. All the razors that I have are in stainless steel as you need the heavier weight because these razors tend to be lighter than the standard DE razor.
You can make adjustments to the settings when shaving by loosening the handle and then moving the setting to the desired one. Tightening the handle keeps that setting in place for the remainder of the shave.
Cleaning the razor is a breeze - just unscrew the handle and the top part comes off. Artist Club blades are always a bit fiddly because of their smaller size, but by holding it by the ends, it ensures you don't cause any injury to yourself.
The Horizon head fits on any standard DE razor handle and I have experimented with a few handles - the best one seems to be from Timeless (Crown) as it fits this head well - other handles may perform the same.
I'm very pleased with this purchase and will be using it for a long time

The walnut presentation boxes are beautiful: elegant, protective, and perfectly in keeping with the spirit of Atelier Durdan.

The N°7 box is especially striking. It holds my mirror-polished titanium N°7 together with the complete seven-plate ladder, beginning with the mild 0.30 gap and progressing step by step to the blade-forward 1.50 gap, my favorite. Augustin organized it like a small library of geometry — clear, restrained, and deeply satisfying to open.

The Le Maurice box is equally thoughtful. It presents my mirror-polished stainless steel Le Maurice and mirror-polished titanium Le Maurice together, along with their plates and stands, in a way that feels balanced and intentional. The box quietly tells the story of the commission: stainless as the benchmark, titanium as the challenge, and Le Maurice as the refined daily companion.

Thank you to Augustin and Chloé for creating boxes that do more than store the razors. They complete the experience.

In my 20 years of wet shaving, this is the first razor I have found which has been able to get my skin perfectly smooth, everyday, without having to take rests for recovery. This razor is an absolute joy to use and I am going to get the next plate up. I currently have the plus plus plate and it is just about perfect. I am curious what the plus plus plate can do for me next. Thank you very much for this outstanding razor!

The ++plate together with a Feather Pro is a better choice for me compared to the + plate with a ProSuper.
As always a perfect work.

Le La Faulx est parfait, enfin rasé de près malgré un poil très dur

Unbelievable. The smoothest shaving experience I’ve ever had. Ultra comfortable, and it provides a perfect irritation for you shave. Beautifully engineered and manufactured.

I have the S/S La Faulx, I find this is smoother and slightly more efficient. I prefer it over my Vector, Hawk V3 and Shield AC razors. No hesitation my Grail AC razor. Augustin is a pleasure to deal with, I highly recommend his quality workmanship and product/s.

This is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship, a literal work of functional art. I have quite few really nice razor and this is in my top three and they are all number one.
